 1. 📿 Make it easy for people to connect.   Planning events for families? Use Mardi Gras–style beads to identify families by grade. If they have children in 2 different grades, they get 2 different necklaces.  It’s playful, low-cost, and it helps parents instantly spot others with children in the same class.  Let's build community one necklace at a time.  Thanks to Cary K. from Seattle for sharing this tip!  |

2. ⏱️ Synchronize messaging   If you’re sending messages out, how are you aligning with your colleagues in Marketing to make sure they are reinforcing that messaging? Are you using the same language? Making the same points?  Remember, your customer needs to hear the same message seven times on average, before making a move.  Make sure your Admission, Marketing and Development offices are aligned. It's as simple as meeting and saying to each other: What phrases are you using to talk about our academics?  What are you saying about our alumni?  Let's be sure we are using the same language.   If you’re not already doing this, get started.  |

3. 📋 Capitalize on Summer Camp Enrollment  If your school runs a camp, or partners with one nearby, scan the camp’s registration list to build a reach-out list. These families already know the campus, the carpool line, and the drive. In many ways, they’re halfway home.  Some families may love the idea of turning a few magical summer weeks into a year-round experience.  Just don’t assume they’ll connect those dots on their own. Extend the invitation. Let them know the camp spirit doesn’t have to end when summer does.  |
