In January 2020 after two weeks full of smiles, stories, and salt air I stepped off a cruise ship. I could barely walk. Breathing was difficult. The pain was relentless. For someone who had been paralyzed a few times, I knew something was different.
By March, the world stopped—COVID had arrived.
As a lifelong medical intuitive, I felt it before the headlines. Something was off in my body. Not just old injuries. Something new… and viral. My immune system was confused. My holistic training kicked in. I talked to my body. For all intents and purposes, I became a hermit in a bedroom.
Let me say this upfront: this is not a sad story. I don’t tell it for sympathy. I tell it because it's so human to feel stuck sometimes. And it’s so powerful when we realize we can still do something with that stuckness.
And here’s the secret that kept me going: I created anyway. Ever notice when you are enjoying something the problems aren’t the power that grabs you?
While coughing, healing, and unable to move much, I began writing again. I reflected on years of intuitive work—finding lost pets, talking with grieving human companions, and helping others find clarity. I analyzed it all, to remind you: if it can be done, you can do it too.
That book was published by a company called BookBaby. All the other works I've put out have been self published. One day I decided in 2025, that book left out some big issues - shelters and rescues, along with a woman who created products for injured dogs. Because she is not a Veterenarian she needed one who would use it to help out. It is now in use world wide. Interviewing four incredible people who care to make a difference, and 40 more pages were born. It required a new ISBN, a new cover, a new title and so the book Nature Speaks was published through my publishing company Unlimited Mind Publishing.
If you have ever published or wished to publish and place it on the largest website for sales of books, Amazon, the rules are very clear. For instance, if you do not have 50 reviews, your book is buried under an avalanche of millions of other books. When you have 50 or more like my book, The Life of a Psychic Detective, it gets on the first page. All Nature Speaks is easily seen with my other books while Nature Speaks, the latest book is not easily found. Once you know the difficulty it’s time to find a solution. I copied links and created QR codes to the review section.
Nature Speaks, Conversations with Pets and WildlifeAmazon makes it difficult to find. Learning from others and passing it on so we benefit not only ourselves, also for others whose informations is valuable.
I believe in the ripple effect. Like an athlete who breaks a record and suddenly many others can, too—when we witness courage, it sparks courage in us.
That’s why I write. That’s why I share.
My journey isn't a complaint—it’s a compost heap. Everything painful becomes fertilizer for something new.
So if you’re feeling a little stuck, just know—you're not broken. You're probably just in the cocoon part. And the best part about cocoons? They don’t stay that way.
