I've witnessed it all — tears, tantrums, sudden downpours, and sibling squabbles threatening to derail the perfect family photo. But it's the moms who throw up their hands and say, "Oh, the heck with it" who truly save the day. With a smile and a sense of humor, they jump right into the moment — while their kids look on in pure awe — and make magic out of mayhem.
Whether it's a toddler meltdown or a teenager's loaded silence, these are the real, unscripted memories we'll (probably) laugh about someday.
And maybe even miss.
