Happy Spring!

Have you heard the wood frogs and spring peepers? Or maybe you've spotted a salamander migrating to vernal pool breeding grounds on a rainy night, like our staff did a couple weeks ago? These early amphibians are always a good sign that spring awaits! Other early signs of spring include skunk cabbage growing in wetlands, the return of American Robins and Red-winged Blackbirds, and fiddleheads popping up and unrolling into ferns. Soon enough, we'll see trees leafing out!
