It's certainly been an unusual spring weather-wise. With fluctuating temperatures, and a frost after so many warm days, many of our spring flowering trees, especially redbud may see diminished flowering. Bush honeysuckle is easier to spot this time of year due to it's early green-up (a great time for mechanical control) and unfortunately, Callery pear flowers seem unaffected by the surprise frost.

Information on our 2026 Callery pear buybacks was sent out in late March, but if you missed it, you can learn more below. We also have great information about research on Eastern redcedar propagation, controlling the spread of pine wilt, and resources to learn more about prescribed burning.
