Happy Saturday, my little timbits! I hope you're having the best Easter weekend of your life. We're doing an Easter egg hunt for the first time with Demon Baby on Monday and I'm so excited. I'm trying to remind myself that it's for the kids and not for me. I have really been enjoying being a parent lately (something I have NOT always said*). Having a toddler is a blast! Yes, he is starting to have big emotions and tantrums and put things up his nose, but he's also learning SO many new words, teasing me with his little jokes, and showing his playful, silly little personality more and more each day. I'm traveling a lot over April and May and already dreading being away from him. *having full time childcare and a kid who sleeps through the night most of the time really helps with this. Some fun news! For a limited time, Dark Midnight has Vancouver Storm jerseys!!! It's happening, pals. They're doing a pre-order now so grab yours. I ordered one for myself and one for Mr. Archer… you'll have to wait to see which ones :) |

I'm getting really excited to meet more of you in April at the Syracuse and Bookcon events!! I'm planning my outfits and there's a dress I wore at the LA event that I really want to wear… that's okay, right? We can rewear outfits to events? It's one of those dresses I put in my books where it fits perfectly and makes me feel confident. Okay, screw it. I'm rewearing it. If you're near Syracuse, come see me, Grace Reilly, and Rebecca Jenshak at the Syracuse Mets baseball game! We're partnering with the local romance store Lit Actually to do some fun stuff. Tickets here. If you're at Bookcon, don't fret if you didn't get tickets to the hockey panel. I'll be singing at the Penguin Random House booth on Saturday (go get a ticket first thing Saturday morning) and the Last Chapter booth on Sunday. I'm spending a few extra days in NY and I haven't been since 2019!! So if you have any recommendations for stuff I should do, let me know please! |

My Threads is now 90% The Pitt posts and as my friend Sophia Travers said, that's the correct ratio. Examples that made me laugh here (sent this to Mr. Archer and got it stuck in both our heads), here (babeh jane deh), and here. THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD!!! I love medical dramas, and yes, there is not nearly enough romance in this show (there is almost none, sad), but the characters are interesting and real and the people who made this show put their whole hearts into it. Some scenes are too hard for me to watch so I skip them but I'm still watching and loving it! |

Also, my next husband, Dr. Jack Abbott, and my next husband after that, Dr. John Shen, are so handsome (and competent and funny and smart and also handsome, very handsome). Had a convo with Mr. Archer that went something like this: Mr Archer: do you think Dr. Robby is good looking Me: I guess Mr Archer: you guess? Who on the show do you-- Me: Dr. Jack Abbott. No question. Mr Archer: Is that the-- Me: the hot one, yeah. the one who said he'd pay to get that guy's meds delivered to him. like i said, THE HOT ONE. Asking the universe for a special season with the night shift!! |

I've talked about my friend Maggie North's upcoming book, Fossil Feud, and how freaking good it is. You aren't ready for this book. We'll be doing an event in Toronto for the launch so stayed tuned for details. (Also the book is on Netgalley, go request it!) Her newsletter, though. HER NEWSLETTER! As a person, she is funny, interesting, insightful, and sincere, and her newsletter is EXACTLY like getting a voicenote from her. She tells fascinating stories and gives great recommendations. Go sign up! |

I'm back in my historical romance phase and the latest I've loved is Alexandra Vasti's Earl Crush! This book was sweet, funny, hopeful, and I think fans of Tessa Dare would love her. Gruff Scottish MMC for bonus points!! |

For three years, wallflower heiress Lydia Hope-Wallace has anonymously penned seditious pamphlets—and for almost as long, she’s corresponded with the reclusive Earl of Strathrannoch. When Arthur’s latest letter reveals his dire financial straits, Lydia sets out for Scotland to offer him the only salvation she can think of: a marriage of convenience. To, um, herself.
But the real earl has no idea who she is. When a bewitching stranger offers him her hand in marriage, Arthur Baird is stunned. And when he learns that his traitorous brother has been writing to her under Arthur’s name, he’s bloody furious. He’s content to live alone in his moldering castle, and he has no desire for a radical wife. (Or at least, he shouldn’t.)
But Arthur is desperate to track down his brother, who’s become dangerously entangled in British espionage, and he needs Lydia’s help. What he doesn’t need? The attraction that burns hotter each moment they spend together. As Lydia slips past his defenses and his brother’s mysterious past becomes a very present threat, Arthur will have to risk everything to keep her safe—even his heart. |

Rafe Montclair is the ruthless billionaire about to destroy my company. The only way to stop it? Become his wife and pretend to love the man I hate. He’s tall, charming, and speaks three languages. But where I value craftsmanship, he shuts down century-old workshops for profit. I can’t let him do the same to my fashion house. So I’ll wear his giant ring and spend the summer in his Lake Como villa, but I plan to drive him insane. I drink too much champagne, swim in his fountain, and steal shirts from his closet. The problem? Rafe never backs down. He ups the stakes instead. Soon, we’re sharing a bed for appearances and kissing in public. I tease him in tiny outfits just to see him crack. Until he does… and I learn the only thing more dangerous than Rafe Montclair in control is when he goes after what he wants. He holds me when I have panic attacks and fights my battles like they’re his own. And when he wakes up from nightmares, he won’t explain… I realize he’s waging a war of his own. Rafe bet he could control this marriage. But I’m the one thing he never planned on wanting this badly. |

A steamy, forbidden, age-gap college hockey romance from USA Today Bestselling romance author Maren Moore. Maisie The night I decided to stop being the good girl…I met him. Dark eyes. Rough hands. Dangerous edge. A stranger who made me forget every rule I’ve ever lived by. But turns out Wilder Hawthorne isn’t just the hookup I can’t stop thinking about. He’s the new hockey coach at my university. More than a decade older. And the man who says I was a mistake… Now we’re forced to work together, pretending nothing happened. Soon every glance starts to feel like a promise. Every touch feels dangerous. The more time I spend with the grumpy, callous coach, the more I wonder if I’m the one thing he can’t resist. The way he looks at me says he’s already broken his own rules. And the more he tries to keep his distance, the more I want to push him over the edge. Wilder Getting kicked out of the NHL was supposed to be rock bottom. Now the only way to fix my reputation is coaching at the one place I never wanted to return to…Orleans University.
New job. Clean image. No scandals. Until her. Maisie Delacroix. The sunshiney preacher’s daughter I spent one reckless night with before I knew who she was. College student. My team’s new philanthropy liaison. The off-limits distraction I can’t afford. One rumor could cost me everything. She’s too sweet. Too innocent. Too good for a guy like me. But the more she looks at me like I’m worth saving, the more I realize the only thing more dangerous than crossing the line…is wanting to. The Good Girl Exception is a complete standalone in the Hellcats Hockey Series set in the Orleans University world. |
