Happy Easter Weekend!  

The garden is waking up, everything is greening up, and I'm enjoying this glorious Saturday morning between Good Friday and Easter! It truly feels like we are stepping right into the heart of spring.

gardening tip of the week

 

Y’all really showed up for the Live fern class on Instagram last weekend! We kept getting more questions about how to divide them, and the good news is, it is so much easier than you might think. Here is the simplest way to do it:

• Gently lift the fern from the soil
• Use a clean serrated knife to cut the root ball into two sections

• Use your hands to gently pull each section apart, give it a shake to detangle the fronds.
• Replant each section in separate containers and give both a good drink of water

 

Dividing actually helps your ferns come back healthier, fuller, and happier.
