– A VERY BIG ANNOUNCEMENT –
Â
we're always growing.
And I'm evolving right along with you. Which means, MAKING art WORK is probably not happening next year.
Â
Â
Hi First name / sweetie,
I made a quiet inner-knowing public on Instagram earlier today, and damn, that feels VULNERABLE. But also, why are we here if not to be open and beautifully evolving humans together??
Â
Ok, so background: I've been offering Making Art Work since 2019. Back then, I had a baby, I had bangs (they didn't work for me and no one told meeeee), and I had a lot of simplicity in my life in many ways. Making Art Work has evolved, changed, and has been updated allllll along the way (it looks nothing like that first version), but also… I have evolved along the way, too.Â
I've been feeling a very strong call to create some important things over the past two years and I simply haven't done it (mainly, write the two books that are burning in my heart, create more of my own work, begin an art subscription...) I was feeling really down about this in therapy earlier this week, and my therapist said, "Emily, you don't have the capacity for that right now because you don't have any margin. You need to create some margin before you can see what you're capable of."Â
Â
And I just... exhaled. Because she was right.
Â
So this is the LAST year I will be offering Making Art Work in this capacity and in this way. That's a HUGE thing for me to say.Â
It feels scary and a little sad. But it also feels right.
And it makes me VERY VERY excited about this year.Â
Â
I'm going to cherish our time together so so much.Â
Â
Not yet, though. Don't worry. I am not a rash girlie (I'm a Taurus moon, which means I process things thoroughly and evolve gently). So this spring, during the 2026 Making Art Work, I am SO SO with you.
Â
>>> If you've been thinking about joining Making Art Work, THIS IS (quite literally) YOUR MOMENT.
Â
And honestly, you're ready. I often get the sweetest, most tender DMs from people who say, "I want this so badly, but I think I should wait til next year." And usually I'm super supportive of that (even though I know they're ready, because that inner longing is really ALL you need).Â
Â
But I'm not going to say that this year. I'm going to tell you YOU ARE READY.Â
If you're at the beginning of your career, I'll help you grow from the best foundation imaginable (not even art school teaches the real-world knowledge we have in this course).
If you're a couple of years into your career, this is the season for you to soak up the community, to join me in this world, and to make connections within your art and your business using the resources I offer you so freely.
