While the service certainly matters, that’s not the only reason I’m here. The part that matters most to me is creating a connection, building trust, and forming a bond that grows into a genuine relationship with every guest. This Mother’s Day, I’m taking time not only to celebrate my own mom and the son who made me a mother, but also to celebrate all the incredible people I have the privilege of connecting with every single day.

One of the most special ways we cultivate connection in our salon is by being team-based. To me, that means so much more than how we’re paid; it means we prioritize collective success over individual gain. I always put it like this: we aren't focused on what you’re spending that day. You can trust me when I recommend products or guide you toward your hair goals because it comes from a place of care, not commission. We’re never trying to “sell” you something just to benefit ourselves—honestly, even saying that gives me the ick!

 

Being team-based also strengthens the relationships between all of us behind the chair. When you’re in our space, you can feel it. The way we support each other, encourage one another, and communicate so naturally is real. You just can’t fake that kind of connection.

Creating the right connections for our guests is something we truly strive to get right. Sometimes that means helping you find not just a service provider, but the right one for you. We’re able to do that because we genuinely take the time to know each other. Our front desk team does a beautiful job of matchmaking, and you play a part in it, too. Word of mouth is one of the most authentic ways to find the right fit. When I find someone I love, I tell everyone about them—and that is the ultimate compliment I can receive as your stylist! As a little thank you, we offer a referral program (aka money!) that you can use toward the services you’ve had your eye on.

Recently, a guest came in to see Madison, one of our estheticians and lash artists. She had just moved to the area to be closer to her daughter and was searching for a new salon home. While getting a beautiful set of lash extensions, she mentioned she was also looking for a hairstylist. After talking with her, Madison referred her to me and even came over to say, “I referred my lash guest to you for her hair. You’re going to love her.” I was immediately excited!

 

 

From the moment we met, I could tell Madison had fostered a fantastic connection. We had a thorough consultation, making sure we both felt confident and aligned. When we finished, her smile spoke for itself! When she asked to rebook, I knew I had given her exactly what she was looking for. The best part?
