The relief I feel that The Angel is out into the world, honestly, words can’t express. This one was hard to bring to life but, boy, am I glad I did. Not just because their story needed to be told, but because Stan deserved to find love and salvation. I let him linger for too long in his grief which, probably, is true to my life.
The second duet, Rory and Hunter’s story, was also hard to work on thanks to losing my beloved Trev. I have a lot of feelings around the Valentini Family but mostly, I’m so proud of myself and of them. When I look back and think of how Luc popped up in Filthy Hot, those first glimpses of him and Jen… it makes me smile to think that the trilogy is now complete.
Sorry for being maudlin! But finishing a series is something that hits every author in the feels. It’s always so bittersweet… but, this time, I was closing out a generation and the wave of emotions that brought on is even stronger.
But (there’s always a but,) I’m ready to jump in, with my two feet, into the second gen of this massive universe I’ve created. Up next? Well, two new characters you’ve yet to meet and some beloved faces too.
Before then, what can you expect in The Angel? Well, get ready to see old faves and find new ones! I hear a certain Ilya now has a fan club on my Patreon and I have a hunch the same thing will happen in Divas. I can’t wait to hear what you think of him!
And, on that note, I leave you with this…
Long live the House of Valentini!
Lots of love and happy reading The Angel!
