Your body isn't just a vessel, it's an intricate system designed to perfectly support you during your time on Earth.
Every cell, every tissue, every organ is alive and imbued with subtle energy that is constantly receiving and communicating.
The body SPEAKS. And I don't mean that metaphorically.
If you tune in and listen, your body will tell you exactly what it needs.
In some seasons of life it might be more vigorous movement, and in others more gentleness. At times it might be longing for more play and sensuality, and at others craving grounding connection to the Earth.
Perhaps a food that once seemed nourishing is no longer aligned, or something in your environment is depleting. Maybe there's a form of creative expression that would be supportive, or something that needs to be spoken or let go of energetically to help the body heal.
If we consistently disregard communication from the body, it finds other ways to get its needs met. Sometimes through a minor illness or accident that asks us to reduce our stress load. Sometimes through more extreme measures like disease that requires us to navigate towards a healthier, or more authentic lifestyle.
The body vibrates at the frequency of the earth and listening to it requires us to SLOW down.
The word “somatic” means relating to the body. Through moments of stillness and attunement, we not only allow time for it to metabolize stress hormones, we are also able to receive its messages more clearly.
