After eleven years, we've finally made a decision we've gone back and forth on many times: we're making our booklist and supply list public on April 23, 2026. We want to share why we've chosen to do this.

 

Transparency matters. We've heard again and again from prospective members – including some of you! – asking to see the full booklist before committing to membership, and honestly, we get it. Although the books alone don’t give a complete picture of what Alveary offers, they are an important part. Choosing a curriculum is a significant decision, and we want families to feel confident before they commit.

 

We want to serve the broader Charlotte Mason community. We love living books and quality supplies, and we want more people to enjoy them whether or not they're ready to become members or purchase an individual course. When families discover the list and want to go deeper, we hope they'll find their way to the full Alveary experience: rich daily lesson plans, videos, and curated links that make these books and supplies truly sing.

We want these books to stay in print. Many of the books on our list are unique to Alveary, and keeping them in print has become increasingly difficult despite our ongoing conversations with publishers. A wider audience means more demand, and more demand means a better chance these beloved books remain available year after year. As an added benefit, the affiliate commissions we earn go right back into investing in and expanding what we offer members.

 

We now have the format and website revisions needed. It took longer than we planned, and more technical work than we expected, to make the booklist public while keeping all of your member-exclusive content fully protected. When the choice came down to waiting another full year or sharing it with you now, we didn't want to wait. We hope you'll understand, and share our excitement.

 

Our members always come first. The booklist will remain member-only for the first few months after membership opens each year, giving you time to renew and find the best prices on used books. Member-exclusive discounts will continue as well, and of course only Alveary users enjoy access to the  member resources on the booklist, including Our Work, Science lab books, Copywork & Dictation books, and more. As always, we'll keep working with publishers before each release to do our best to ensure books are in stock and available in the quantities you need.

 

This is a meaningful change, and one we've thought about deeply over the years. We hope you'll see the heart behind it. We're grateful for the Alveary community and we hope this gives you something easy and beautiful to share with friends and fellow educators who are on their own Charlotte Mason journey.
