Titan Nation,

 

The True North Gala is taking place next week. In just a few days we will all gather as one Titan Nation to enjoy an unforgettable evening and fundraise for our school. Therefore, this week we are doing a special Weekly Scroll edition where we discuss everything gala. 

 

The True North Gala is the foundation's crown jewel – its the largest, most elevated, and anticipated event of the year. In fact, many True North parents comically share that this event is their equivalent of prom. An evening where they get to dress-up and dance the night away with their friends, while fundraising for our school. Every year, the gala has improved and made the experience better for guests and this year is no exception. 

 

This year, we have changed our location to the JW Marriot Miami, a 5-star hotel located in the heart of Downtown. We have also secured a series of one-of-a-kind memorabilia, luxurious experiences, and high value items that will be raffled and auctioned throughout the evening. Additionally, 30 sponsors have joined our efforts and generously contributed to our event and mission.

America 250

As a Classical Education school, we aim to develop the individual as a whole. This means, making sure they are rich in both, knowledge and virtue. One of the core virtues we instill in our scholars is Love of Country. Love of country means being devoted to our nation – loving its ideals, honoring its heroes, respecting its past, and working hard for a just and noble future. 

 

This year, this commitment to instilling love of country into our scholars takes-on an even greater significance as our nation is celebrating its 250th anniversary. That is why the True North Classical Foundation has chosen “America 250” as the theme for this year’s gala.

Silent & Live Auction

At the gala, one of the most exciting events is our silent and live auction. During both events, attendees can engage in friendly bidding competitions for a variety of unique items and experiences.

 

You can begin to browse the items secured for the live and silent auctions and make note of the items you are most interested in winning. You can also create your gala profile and save your payment information, giving you a head start when it comes time to place your bids.

 

Some notable items for this year’s auction include a full set of braces at Main Street Orthodontics, a VIP Dolphins experience, which includes a gift voucher for four tickets to the exclusive 72 Club, black south parking passes, a Tyreek Hill signed mini helmet, and a Jevon Holland signed football, and a Captain America shield signed by Stan Lee, co-creator of the iconic Marvel superheroes.
