Hey Beautiful Humans!

I'm choosing to write about nuanced ideas. You know, those kinds of things that are context and human dependent. I believe there are more opportunities for growth, openness, learning, and connection than it sometimes appears.

We need each other. Interdependence is where it is at!

And yet, we live in a world that loves a clear answer. A rule that applies everywhere. A framework that works every time. That makes sense! It feels like that could save us time and energy. But when we reach for the universal answer too quickly, we sometimes skip the most important step: paying attention to the actual humans in front of us.

Nuance is necessary. And it starts with paying attention to each other.

When we allow for the fact that people are different, that context matters, that the "right" approach depends, we open up so much more. More belonging. More creativity. More trust. More of what we were actually hoping for in the first place.

Interdependence asks something of us. It asks us to resist the urge to assume we already know what someone needs, thinks, or has to offer. It asks us to stay in the question a little longer. To be genuinely open to an answer we didn't anticipate. It asks us to sometimes set aside our preferences.

That's not a waste of time and energy. That's how the best things get built. Together.

A Next Step
This week, notice a moment where you're tempted to reach for a quick, universal answer. Pause. Get curious about the specific people and context in front of you. What becomes possible when you stay in the nuance?

Stay Curious!
