WEEKLY(ISH) NEWSLETTER
In the Kitchen with Mandy
Issue 11
If you're reading this, then you're on the list! I want to connect with y'all the way we once did before social media became so tricky so we're trying something new and you're a part of the select group I'm sending it to!

Good morning, friend! You got that cup of coffee in hand? I'm working on my second cup and glad to have a minute to sit here and catch up!

I've been a cooking fool this week! AI is hitting us food bloggers hard right now and one of the only things we can do about it is keep cooking! The bots scan and scrape our original content and puke it out all over Pinterest, Google and social media BUT I HAVE FAITH that the tech bros will eventually see nobody wants Frankenstein recipes pieced together out of the ether. That or the politicians will finally vote for legislature that protects us (she says sarcastically while simultaneously laughing and crying).

ANYWAY, I made some new stuff that I'm pretty tickled with!

Big Girl just finished up her masters degree and had to try on her sash (and cap but she's mostly proud of that masters sash!). This one knows what she wants out of life and isn't afraid of working hard to get it! She's also my little ride-or-die and the first to defend or help me - zero questions asked!

Thank you for sending me some of your Easter egg photos! I just love this one of Lynn and her grandbaby!

shanks & boozy just chillin'
In my next life, I want to be a house pet.

So, I made the pizza of my childhood and have been thinking a LOT about other recipes from back in those days. Are there any school cafeteria recipes you wish you had? Or even better, do you have any you'd like to share!!

I have such found memories of the lunch ladies who kept us fed and in line. They would snatch you by the ear if you got too rowdy but they were the first to notice if you needed a hug. Plus they always walked around the cafeteria with extra pans of peanut butter fudge and dolled it out to us like the hair net wearing angels they were.

I hope your day is restful and rejuvenates you and that you have a great week! Take care of yourselves, my friends, the world is better for you being in it!
