Spring is in full swing!

Trees are blossoming and leafing out everywhere, including the rosebuds and shadbush at Coogan Farm! Keep an eye out for lady's slippers, a native orchid named for its pink shoe-shaped flower. All sorts of birds are nesting, from Palm Warblers and Yellow-breasted Chats to Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and Green Herons. Meanwhile, wintering birds like Dark-eyed Juncos are leaving to migrate north for the summer and warblers are arriving from Central and South America to take their place.
