Real (approachable) Style Advice for Real (grown-up) Women with
Real (smart) Budgets

April 26, 2026

Dear First name / friend,
This time of year always makes me think of the weeks leading up to Christmas—for people who love the holidays. There’s that same sense of anticipation…you know it’s coming, and you just can’t wait.

That’s how I feel about summer—and honestly, spring too, which just can’t seem to get here. We’ve been stuck in the 50s, which somehow feels colder when it’s almost May.

But the planning and looking ahead to summer is a big part of the fun.

We have so many good things coming up—
a wedding with dear friends in South Carolina, along with the boys and their girlfriends,
a long weekend here in June with all of them again,
and, the 4th annual arrival of 9+ 26-year-old boys/men from Chicago for the 4th of July week. (It’s a zoo—but also one of my favorite weeks of the year.)

On the business side, we’re in full swing (with several weeks still to go) with the Spring Style System, and it’s been so rewarding to see the transformations happening. Watching women try new things, get out of a rut, and feel more confident with some simple guidance makes me so happy—and is exactly why I do what I do.

I’ve also started working on the Summer Style System, and I’m doing things a little differently this season—leaning into the more relaxed pace and lifestyle of summer, and what that really looks like when it comes to getting dressed.

It’s going to be really good—and should be ready in the next week or two, especially helpful for those of you already in warm weather.

Now…here’s what went on at B.Styled this week: 👇🏼

2. Weekly Style Tip: The Magic of Proportions:
One of the best ways to make sure your outfit works is to understand a few simple guidelines around proportion. Once you know these, you can mix and match what you already own and create outfits that look more current and more flattering—without a lot of effort.
