it's friday … write a list of good things
good things might feel like gratitude, and sometimes they are. but good things can also be challenging and uncomfy… because we understand the stretch and growth that comes out of them. good things can surprise us, and are always worth noting and sharing.

hello there.

As I sit to write my list of good things from this week, I've just received sad news and I thought about skipping this week, thought about not sharing what's happening in my corner of the world. I don't want to weigh you down with what isn't yours. But part of our practice here is to acknowledge ALL of it… the good, and the less good… and within ALL of it, to open our hearts to the slivers of light.

My mom's husband has just passed. He was nearly 90 so it wasn't completely unexpected… except it was unexpected.

As I always invite and encourage you to gently consider the good things tucked in and amongst the challenging, I'm trying to walk the walk and am showing up today to share some slivers in and amongst…

• my sisters and relatives who live close to my mom
• group texts with my sisters
• hearing my mom's voice… her hearing mine
• my three
• a walk with the pup to clear my head

*you know I love visiting and reading and responding to your lists.
no promises this week as to when I'll get there, but I will as I'm able.

*and I know (I feel it already) I have support from all of you lovely, lovely humans. this feels a bit awkward, this note, but I'm trusting it will land in your heart in the way it needs to land. I wasn't especially close with my mom's husband but still, still…

as ever, go gently and be love.

click to visit and to share your good things...
sending a little love your way, m
