Great Sunday morning to you!
 
It's a little nippy here! But I'm not complaining. You won't hear too many people who have lived their entire lives in the Deep South complain about cooler temperatures! EVER! I know I'll be swatting gnats, mopping up sweat and hunting AC by this time next month so I'm grateful for a cool breeze today!
 
GUESS WHAT?! The Boy comes home this week!! He has never EVER been away this long (since January) and I haven't looked this forward to something since… well, I don't even know when! I'm heading up to NC Wednesday to help him get packed up and bring a load home then he'll be coming Thursday after his last exam. 
 
AND THEN Baby Girl comes home the following week! AT LAST!! I sure am glad The Boy comes home a week earlier because MY LORD that girl has some STUFF so I'll need his help! The entirety of his creature comforts and clothing easily fit in his truck and my car but that sister of his?! It will take 2-3 runs to and from the STORAGE UNIT I have to rent to hold all her stuff. I can't say a word, though, because I was the same way. Plus she has actual furniture and enough kitchen supplies to start a restaurant.
 
This week's recipes are going to be all the things I'm going to cook for my sweet little lamb this week (or I hope to anyway!). These are all The Boy's favorites and I plan on feeding him well!
 
 
 
 
 
Baby Girl's school usually brings in a petting zoo just before finals so students can unwind a bit and forget the stress for a minute. Of course, she goes right for a hen instead of waiting in line for the puppies. That's my girl right there!
 
 
 
Hims was mad at me for shutting him out of my office (accidently!) and stayed like this for HOURS.
 
 
 
I have gotten SO MANY emails from y'all saying how much you enjoy these weekly updates; that it seems like we're sitting across the table from one another chatting; that you look forward to something real and not social media…
 
BUT LET ME TELL Y'ALL THIS… I'm the one who is enjoying this! Maybe this is a version of therapy I didn't know I needed. Maybe I need to feel like somebody's sitting across the table from me too. Who knows?? So let me say it again and I hope you know I mean it, THANK YOU for being here and letting me share a bit of my life with you. And thank you for sharing it back with me!
