Dear Sunday Sparker,

I am writing this post midday in Adha holiday, one that I discovered is my  most favorite of mine. It’s the longest. We don’t have social obligations. It’s a gift of time and you know how much I love time. For example, I could write like I am doing now when my 22-month-old baby boy takes a nap. My non-napping kids and I could play a memory game midday and have a movie night midweek. I could catch up on some reading and decluttering.

During this holiday, I got obsessed with the idea of: How do I make it easier for my June self and summer self in general? What can I do this holiday to make my mornings and evenings easier? The obvious thing was to start my clothes. So, I decluttered and organized my winter/summer clothes. I also organized my analog desk for my “now”. My now does not include crayons and that big planner I wanted to try. I put it away to try again in the wintertime, perhaps next January when I have slower mornings.

Speaking of decluttering, it is the theme of June’s calendar, download it using button below and make sure to scan the code on the calendar tomorrow to see my daily tips.

Worth mentioning: June 1st landing on a Monday is as close as it gets to a fresh start this year: A-new-week-new-month-after-Eid vibe 🤩.

I know that if you are parents, final exams are a bit of a buzzkill, but remember, we will be done in no time. You automatically have more time in the evening, and for some of you, in the morning, because you drive the kids to school.

Hello fresh start! Use my calendar to track a habit you want to keep in June.

P.S. Let's chat if you are considering hiring me to guide you towards your goals and positive habits in 1:1 sessions ( limited spots available for the month of June). Book your free discovery session to discuss your goals and we can start from there.

Snapshot from my week:
The sleepover at my parents' and this cake
from Secret Cake  were some of the highlights of this week-long holiday

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark ⚡️a newsletter listing 3 sparks that I thought were worth starting your week with:

1. 📺 A movie my husband thanked me for picking: Remarkably Bright Creatures. Currently available on Netflix. Not the first time I recommend an Octopus-related movie.

2. 🎙️ Have you heard? I am back to podcasting! I released episode 96 last week about Happier Hours. Listen now on Anghami (Yes, I am focusing on Anghami now) Apple Podcasts or YouTube. Your podcast reviews matter so much! I can't believe we are this close to episode 100. It's going to be “Ask me Anything” kind of episode, where I answer any questions you have for me about topics I talked about on the podcast or wish I talked about, even personal questions; just REPLY to this email and ask me a question for episode 100!

 3. 💬 Quote of the week:

"Much of gossip is envy in disguise. Much of self-doubt is conformity in disguise. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent,” said Eleanor Roosevelt. Breathe into you. Step out of the shade. Be you in the wide open. The only success that matters is the success of being who you are. Fitting in is fine. But never try and fit in if this fitting-in means becoming something you are not. Become you. Become the person no one else is. If people don’t like you, let them not like you. Not every fruit has to be an apple. It is too exhausting to spend this existence as someone else. If you are a pomegranate, be a pomegranate. Sure, there are probably more people who don’t like pomegranates than people who don’t like apples, but for those of us who like pomegranates they are what we like best."
