In the Kitchen with Mandy

Good morning, friends!!

First, let me apologize for something… I am so sorry I've sent out a few emails with links that didn't work for you! Nine out of ten times when something like this happens, it's my fault (I have a bad habit of not capturing the last letter in the URL when I copy/paste) but last week it happened because of a weird coding thing (I'll spare you the boring techy details). Anyway, I know that's got to be frustrating for y'all and I'm sorry!

It's just me running this circus (picture the wind-up toy monkey with the cymbals and drum) and, well, I screw up sometimes.

On that note, though, I'm kinda proud that it's just me. I had to teach myself how to do ALL the things (from the tech stuff to search engine optimization to photography and everything in between) and well, I did. Sometimes I wish I could walk my Daddy through all of it. Lord, I miss him. If he could see everything his baby girl has learned, he'd be strutting around here like a peacock!

So anyway, sometimes I screw stuff up. And I appreciate the patience you have with it AND with me!

The Boy IS HOME and Baby Girl comes home to nest this week!! Since I focused on all his favorites last week, I'll share some of BG's today!

I didn't get a picture, but that crazy cat of mine discovered the pure comfort and bliss of a hot water bottle this week and I about had to wrestle her off of it! I filled mine up (yes, it's the same red rubber one you're thinking of), got on the couch and laid it on my belly. Well, when nosey rosey got a feel of it, she inched herself along and along until she was laying on it with all her legs wrapped around it like somebody straddling a pommel horse trying not to fall off. I've never seen anything like it! She took to that thing like a fish to water and I thought we were gonna fight when I tried to take it away!

I'm going to try to shoot y'all another newsletter before the end of the week because I'm taking some time off with the family and not too sure when I'll get you another one. But if I don't get to it, just know I'll have plenty to tell you about when I get back to the real world!!

OH! And happy Mother's Day!! I forgot what today is until just this minute! I hope your chirrens are good to you today!! I hope mine are too, come to think of it! I don't care if they forgot too though, I'm just glad everybody will be home soon!

Relax and take it easy today (especially you mamas)! All that needs doing can get done tomorrow! Thank you for being here today!
