Y'all. This past weekend and Monday were big. Thank you everyone who participated in Sunday's St. Louis Sip & Swap at 2nd Shift Brewing. Check out pictures and our leadership team member Angelica's reel from the event. Thank you everyone who also participated in Monday's Congressional Day of Action for Campaign Finance Reform! If you haven't made calls yet and said you would, please still make them (and see all the resources you need below). The coming week and subsequent months we will have regular calls to action for you to engage with Congress, given the recent attempt by Republicans to protect multi-national pesticide manufacturers from cancer liability lawsuits and the Supreme Court's recent decision to gut the Voting Rights Act of 1965. 

 

With that said, this is all I have for you this week - and it's already Friday. After Sunday 's event and my individualized emails to everyone who signed up nationwide on Monday for our day of action, I have been trying to recharge. I hope you are, too. Remember, the work to stop fascism and all forms of oppression is not a one-off, single-event victory. It is a long game. Take time for yourself so you can be ready for the next action.

The choice before us is not between optimism and despair. It is between complacency and courage. We can choose to advocate for policies that rapidly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We can demand campaign finance reforms that protect democracy from capture by polluting industries. Let’s act!
