DIXON MAY FAIR RECAP
What a wonderful weekend celebrating one of Dixon’s most cherished traditions!
This year's Dixon May Fair theme, "Tradition," was the perfect reminder of the community connections and memories that make this event so special year after year. Our dancers proudly represented Dixon Dance Studio by participating in the parade before taking the stage at the fair to share their hard work, talent, and love of dance with the community.
From marching down the parade route to performing for family, friends, and fairgoers at the Leber Garden Stage, our dancers brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to every moment. It was a day filled with community spirit, smiles, and unforgettable memories.
A huge thank you to our dancers, families, instructors, and volunteers for helping make this annual tradition such a success. We are proud to be part of a community that continues to support the arts and create lasting traditions for future generations.
We already can't wait for next year's May Fair!
SUMMER CAMPS 2026
🎤 Pop Star Hero Academy Dance Camp
Join us for a Pop Star Hero Academy dance camp at Dixon Dance Studio, inspired by the action-packed world of the K-Pop Demon Hunters movie!
Date and Time: Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24 Monday through Thursday: 9:00am – 12:00pm Performance and Camp Wrap Up on Friday at 11:45am
Ages: 7–10
Price: $250/week or $60/day
Step into the spotlight and train like a hero while dancing like a pop star! During this high-energy week, dancers will learn exciting K-pop inspired choreography, build confidence on stage, and complete fun “hero training” challenges with their team. Each day will include dance classes, creative crafts, games, and pop star activities that bring the theme to life.
Throughout the week, dancers will design their own pop star hero identity, work together on powerful choreography, and prepare for their ultimate Pop Star Hero Performance for families at the end of the week. Get ready for a week full of music, movement, creativity, and superstar energy! ⭐🎤✨
Join us for a Wild City Adventure dance camp at Dixon Dance Studio, inspired by the fun and imaginative world of the Zootopia movies!
Date and Time: Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 Monday through Thursday: 9:00am – 12:00pm Performance and Camp Wrap Up on Friday at 11:45am

Get ready for a wildly fun adventure where dancers explore a bustling animal city full of imagination, movement, and creativity! During this exciting week, dancers will leap, hop, and groove their way through animal-inspired dance classes, playful games, and themed crafts.
Young explorers will go on daily adventures—meeting animal characters, solving fun city challenges, and creating their own wild dance moves. Along the way they’ll collect fun memories and prepare for their Wild City Dance Party Performance at the end of the week for family and friends.

We are thrilled to once again offer the opportunity for our dancers and families to participate in Dance the Magic at Disneyland®!
Our first Dance the Magic experience was an unforgettable weekend filled with performance opportunities, Disney magic, new friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. We had so much fun in 2025 and are excited to begin planning our return for April 2–4, 2027!
Dancer Requirements from DDS: Be 7 years old or older by January 1, 2027
Be enrolled in Jazz, Hip Hop, and Ballet during the 2026–2027 dance season
Commit to learning and rehearsing the parade choreography
Demonstrate the responsibility and maturity needed for a large performance experience

Our Competition Team is gearing up for an exciting summer as they prepare to travel to LA Dance Magic Nationals this July!
After an incredible competition season filled with growth, dedication, and outstanding performances, our dancers are ready to take the stage one more time and represent Dixon Dance Studio at the national level. Nationals is an unforgettable experience that gives dancers the opportunity to perform alongside talented studios from across the country while continuing to challenge themselves as performers and teammates.
We are so proud of the hard work, commitment, and passion these dancers have shown throughout the season. As they spend the next few weeks preparing for their final performances of the year, we wish them the best of luck and can't wait to cheer them on in July.

Celebrate your dancer with a special shoutout! Show your dancer some love, support, and wish them luck before they take the stage. Write a 20-word (or less) message to be featured on the big screen at recital and in the show video. ✨

Dixon Dance Studio will be closed June 29 through July 19 as our dancers, families, and staff take time to rest, recharge, and celebrate an incredible year of growth and accomplishments.
During this break, we'll be preparing for another amazing season ahead. We are excited to welcome everyone back on July 20, when our new class schedule begins and we officially kick off the 2026–2027 dance season!
