Hi First name / there! I recently heard a website designer say that she normally has over 10 video calls a week, and I found that horrifying because to me that just sounds so draining! 😵💫 I realized that I don't do that many video calls a week, if any. I only hop on video calls for potential clients and every once in a while, if a client and I have to work through something, of course I'll hop on a call with them. But everything else I handle through video screen recordings, using Zight. What I've loved seeing this past month is that my clients are commenting positively about me using Zight, as well as using it themselves! - One client told me they loved my screen recording so much that they started using it in their own business. They are architects who do a lot of visual work, and they said it's saved them so much time because they don't need to schedule as many meetings now.
- Another client downloaded Zight himself so he could send me a screen recording back to explain what he was looking for. It was a quick anwser but he wanted a visual so I understood what he meant. It was a great way for us to get on the same page without getting on a call.
- I also have a current client where we were working through a complex website situation, and I asked her if she wanted to jump on a call or if she'd prefer another screen recording, and she said she actually prefers my recordings because she can watch them multiple times, digest what I'm saying, and think through her answer in her own time, and on a live call, she would feel pressured and stressed. And I had never thought about it that way before!
So it's just something that's been on my mind, and I wanted to say that if you have issues like you’re constantly having meetings with clients and you want to scale back on that, or maybe there's a lot of miscommunication because there's not a lot of overlap and understanding of what you do or what you're asking questions about 🙋🏻♀️ definitely consider getting Zight (or Loom which is another popular one). I've linked my blog post below if you want to read more about why I love it so much. |

A quote I want to leave you with this month, one my yoga teacher shared that has been rattling around in my brain ever since: "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." — Lao Tzu In case you needed to hear that too! |
