A NOTE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
A Time to Remember
Spring is here, and it is in full bloom. May is also a great time to plan, prepare, and remind us of new life while celebrating lives who we have lost along the way.

Recently, the Whatcom Commercial Fisherman’s Association had their Blessing of the Fleet. This annual memorial is a solemn reminder of all those we have lost at sea over the past 100 years. I am humbly reminded that how we get our seafood takes guts, endless hours on the water, and a passion for what they love. We should all be thankful and grateful for what they all provide.
It’s events like this that drive me to help Seafeast be a lasting part of our community. We all have something to learn, to enjoy, to give back, and to get involved with our amazing waterfront. With so many things to do and see in Whatcom County, we are so excited to add our lineup to things to do throughout the year.

We look forward to you attending, learning, and growing with us. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements for this year’s festival, and wishing you all the best.
