Why Do Apprenticeships Matter to Rituals?
Â
We love seeing our apprentices grow, learn, and truly absorb everything this industry has to offer. At Rituals, we believe that when our apprentices grow, the company grows. That’s why we’re deeply invested in their educational journey.
What truly sets us apart is our culture and team mindset. We support one another, and we encourage clients to experience the artistry of multiple stylists. As apprentices grow, our clients get to witness that growth firsthand, building trust and relationships along the way until the apprentices are ready to take on their own clients with confidence.
Our goal is to guide each apprentice in building both technical skills and self-assurance behind the chair, allowing for a smooth transition from apprentice to professional hairstylist. At the same time, the program allows our existing team members to tap into their strengths—whether through mentoring, leadership, or continued professional and personal growth.

What Is the Layout of RTP?
Â
The structure of RTP shifts each season depending on the number of students, but on average, the program runs for about nine months. The curriculum is built around three core skill categories: Styling, Cutting, and Coloring.
Our trained team members are selected to serve as educators for the classes. Classes are held once a week, giving apprentices hands-on learning opportunities and guided practice that are reinforced throughout the work week by their educators and mentors.
After a few weeks of training, each skill is put into action through model calls. This gives apprentices the opportunity to work on real models while being closely supervised by our educators. Through this process, apprentices practice technical skills and become skill-certified in preparation for working with paying clients.
Right now, our apprentices are practicing clipper haircuts on clients while working side-by-side with master stylists to refine their techniques.

What Does Recruitment for Future Apprentices Look Like?
We are always looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team as apprentices. When hiring, we look for candidates who are currently enrolled in cosmetology school. As a state-licensed salon, we’re able to support apprentices as they complete their required hours in preparation for their State Board exams.
We look for team members who are eager to build a long-term career with us at Rituals. We don’t hire just to fill positions—we hire people who fit our team and culture. Applications can be found on our website; however, we always encourage prospective apprentices to stop by the salon, meet our team, and apply in person.

At Rituals, we don’t just grow stylists—we grow together.
