I hope you ate recently, because today I'm talking about breakfast food 🥞, and you might be tempted to run to iHOP after this.
You know what they say about your first pancake, right?
It's always a little off. Too pale. Wrong shape. Stuck to the pan. UGH it's the worst.
But do you pack up the kitchen and call it a day?? Of course not. You have people (maybe screaming toddlers) to feed! So you flip the next one. And the one after that. And by the time you've got a full stack, you've barely even thought about the first one.
Here's the real estate connect: you know what ruins more real estate careers than a bad market?
Waiting.
Waiting until the script is perfect. Until the CRM is set up just right. Until you know exactly what to say. Until you feel ready.
Your prospecting works the same way as that first pancake. The first call is awkward. The first video is unwatchable. The first text sounds like a robot wrote it. That's not failure — that's rep one. And you cannot get to rep ten without it.
Analysis paralysis isn't a planning problem. It's a first pancake problem. You're so afraid of the throwaway that you never turn on the stove.
The agents with full pipelines aren't the ones with the perfect script. They're the ones who made the call anyway.
