Happy Friday First name / friend!  

 

This week has been somewhat slower, and honestly, I took advantage of it.

 

One thing I have really been enjoying lately is the access I have to RightNow Media. This week, I completed Jennie Allen’s Bible study, Untangle Your Emotions. It brought a lot of things to light for me and gave me so much to reflect on. If you’d like to know more about it, I shared some additional thoughts in this recent blog post.

 

I also had my annual visit with my gastroenterologist this week. After 19 years, I think it’s safe to say I am a “regular” customer 🤣!   My doctor even laughed right before the procedure and said we had “grown old together,” which honestly gave us both a good chuckle. I consider myself a pretty strong person, but for whatever reason, the prep process always gets me. (no judging, please 😉) But I pushed through and the results this time were pretty good.  Fingers crossed I can move to a 3 year cycle after the results come back.  🤞🏻  God is good!  

 

During the quiet time, aka prep process,  I made the most of it by searching for some new recipes and looking through the newest workbook I received: Women of the Bible Speak. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know how much I love that book. I tend to understand and absorb things better the second time around, so I decided to order the workbook to help tie everything together. I’m planning to start it this weekend.

 

As I close out the week, I find myself reflecting on the joy I’ve seen all around me:
 

Sunny skies. Although still not warm enough for me…
Good health — not only mine, but my family’s too.
Our granddaughter did a wonderful job at her Expo showing her cow, Rowdy.

My sister and I had quality time together at our favorite place.  🏝💐
And tomorrow, we are looking forward to sharing dinner with some wonderful people from church.

 

Sometimes the slower weeks remind us just how much there is to be thankful for.
