This NEW WORK has been cooking for a minute - I'm proud to finally share it with you!

Introducing my Tulips design! Composed of three repeating modules, this artwork folds and undulates to create a layered, dimensional surface.

Tulips explores how modular organic forms created with noise absorptive materials can serve the dual purpose of adding beauty to a space while also reducing volume and increasing accessibility.

Shown here in acoustic wool felt, Tulips can also be created using leather. This incredibly diverse design is suitable for numerous spatial applications.

It can be mounted to backerboard(s) (as shown above) or mounted directly to the wall and/or ceiling (shown below).

Tulips may also be created using a single piece of material, yielding a three dimensional continuous pattern.

The reverse side is equally intriguing.

Also new is Furl - here shown using exquisite blue/green Italian leathers provided graciously by Pavoni for my sculptural explorations (Thanks Alan!)

A short history: This artwork was developed during a design session with Emily from And Other Works. Upon realizing that this material was too thin to use for my original leather Curls design, we collaborated in an impromptu workshop to develop a modified design which complements the material thickness.

Within a couple of hours we had a design solution.

The Furl shapes demonstrate movement, flexibility, and rhythm. Each element connects to neighboring forms using metal studs, creating a tactile sculptural composition showcasing texture, shadow, and material depth.

I love that the visual texture of the forms matches that experience upon physical touch.
