AN INVITATION TO BE

The Trajectory
A few days ago, someone shared the answers to a prompt they had entered into AI asking it to analyze current human trend lines and project them forward over the next twenty years.

The responses were not all new, and the future they pointed toward was one many people can already feel emerging beneath the surface of modern life.
It spoke about shrinking attention spans, increasing loneliness, declining birth rates, weakening independent thought, and the gradual erosion of humanity’s ability to hear and trust its own mind clearly.
It ended with: “The data doesn’t say humanity is ending. The data says humanity is logging off.”

Logging off from:
  • direct experience
  • inner knowing
  • contemplation
  • embodied presence
  • relationship with self
  • relationship with each other
  • & relationship with life itself

We are living in a time of constant stimulation, accelerating information, endless external input and increasing fragmentation of attention. We've all experienced the rabbit holes provided by our cell phones that can often serve little more than entertainment loops or reminders of the current state of humanity without a clear path forward.
Technology and AI are rapidly reshaping how we work, think, communicate, and relate to the world.

Whether or not every prediction proves accurate, the deeper trajectory already feels familiar, and its effects on mental clarity, emotional health, and daily life are already quietly unfolding around us.

A DIFFERENT QUESTION

So I asked a different question:
What strengthens the very capacities many people feel slipping away?
And perhaps more importantly:
What becomes possible precisely because of this trajectory?
The answer that emerged was surprisingly simple:
Log back into life…
  • Into stillness.
  • Into contemplation.
  • Into inner listening.
  • Into shared human presence.
So rather than simply reflecting on where we may be heading, I decided to create a simple response to it.

A Gathering Called
“STILL”
10 Minutes to Remember
A weekly Zoom gathering for stillness, contemplation and shared human presence.

Because even ten minutes of shared stillness can begin strengthening the very qualities that make us deeply human: presence, contemplation, emotional coherence, inner listening, and meaningful connection with ourselves and one another.

In the past, I participated in online co-working spaces where people gathered silently on Zoom for focused one-hour work sessions. I was amazed by how the shared presence and collective silence made it far easier to concentrate, stay present, and complete meaningful work.
If shared silence can strengthen focus so powerfully, what might become possible through moments of shared intentional stillness?

Beginning on:
Wednesday, May 27th at 7PM EST
I will be holding the first STILL Zoom gathering:
A 10 minute collective pause where we come together in silence and shared awareness from wherever we are in the world.

An intentional midweek pause in the midst of modern life.

No pressure… No performance… No expectation to speak.
  • You may sit with your eyes open or closed.
  • Breathe slowly and gently.
  • You may soften your gaze toward the screen and quietly connect or acknowledge the other human beings sharing the space with you.
  • You may light a candle and focus gently on the flame.
  • You may look out a window, toward nature, or simply rest.
- Most gatherings will unfold in complete silence.
- Come once, occasionally, or weekly. The invitation remains open.
- The same Zoom link may be used each week, allowing you to return whenever you feel called.
-And perhaps, over time, these small moments of stillness will extend gently into other parts of your daily life.

Once each month… or every fourth gathering will begin with a single contemplative question or inward-facing prompt. Not a question to solve, but a question to sit with honestly and quietly within yourself.

THE INTENTION

  • To reclaim attention.
  • To strengthen our relationship with our own consciousness and sovereign inner life.
  • To create moments of genuine stillness, contemplation, and shared human presence in a world increasingly designed to pull awareness outward.
  • To cultivate greater calm, clarity, focus, inner listening, and emotional coherence through small but consistent moments of return.
  • To remember that even quiet moments shared with others can soften isolation and strengthen connection.
  • And perhaps, through something remarkably simple, remember the very qualities that make us deeply human… 10 minutes at a time.

STILL is being offered free of charge to
anyone who feels called to participate.
