WEEK 2 | SELF PORTRAIT

For week one, we found inspiration by noticing things all around us. This week we're finding inspiration from within. We won't be creating a literal self portrait but all of this week's sections will be shaped by who you are in this moment in time, what's happening in your life, interests, and more. Just like seasons we are ever changing and evolving, shedding and growing--I think it's worth notating! (Also could you imagine doing this project when you were 16 and looking back on it now? I love a good nostalgia moment and we can do that with this project in the future :))

If you've just joined in, welcome! You can find all the past prompts in the resource library linked at the bottom of the emails!

DAILY PROMPTS FOR THE WEEK

Sunday | Day 8
FAVORITE
What's your favorite thing…that you did today? About this season? That you're currently into right now (an activity, tv show or song, food, hobby, etc.)?

Monday | Day 9
CELEBRATE
What are you celebrating? Take time to recognize this whether it's something big or small, new or routine. They--and you--are worth celebrating (and we don't do it enough!)

Tuesday | Day 10
JOY
Notice what brought you joy today. Don't forget to think about how you may have brought joy into someone else's day!

Wednesday | Day 11
CHALLENGE
We all experience hardships and difficult times. Creating can be an outlet whether it's giving us something else to focus on for a bit or helping us process or express our feelings. Today, take what has felt hard and heavy and let it go onto your page.

Thursday | Day 12
CURIOUSITY
What are you curious about, what has been peaking your interest? Is there something you'd like to learn more about, something new you want to make (in art, in the kitchen, in your yard, etc.), or something you could spend hours reading and researching? Share about this topic or something that you've learned about it.

Friday | Day 13
ASPIRATION
What is something you are currently working towards or would like to accomplish? It can be finishing a project, puzzle, or book, adding to a collection you have, a fitness goal, something creative or something related to your habits, visiting certain places, a long term or short term goal. (It doesn't have to be so serious--think of the fun things you aspire to do as well!)

Saturday | Day 14
GRATITUDE
What are you grateful for today?

Even though it's obvious, it really hit me one day that whatever happens in this very second will never happen again. There's no way to repeat it exactly as it was and there's so much that passes us by as time continuously moves forward. This is one of the reasons I began this project--to get a chance to press pause and capture some of these fleeting moments. We're making a mini time capsule, section by section, that we can revisit for years to come. Have fun creating week 2 :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Talk to you soon,
