👋🏼 Hey, it’s Miriam. Welcome to my bi-weekly newsletter where we help you grow your pipeline, keep your clients, and crush your goals.

Here are three quick ideas to sharpen your client growth and retention work before summer fully takes over.

Let’s get started.

If You Do One Thing This Week:

1. Focus your event prep.
Before planning your next client event, ask:
“What is this event supposed to do?”

Is it:
  • Informational?
  • Hype machine?
  • Relationship-building?
  • Strengthening retention or driving referrals?
Plan accordingly.

Not every event needs the entire leadership team, every department represented, a panel discussion, a 47-slide deck nobody asked for.

The clearer the purpose, the easier it becomes to:
  • Structure the experience
  • Decide who should attend
  • Follow up effectively afterward.
Use this worksheet to help you plan.

Try it. Let me know how it goes.

2 Tips to DO MORE:

2. Turn your events into targeted growth opportunities.

Invite people to your events who are already connected to the kind of work you do.

For example:
  • If you run leadership workshops, invite HR professionals.
  • If you own a gym, invite physical therapists or wellness groups.
  • If you are a financial advisor, invite business owners or local attorneys.
Bonus points: Offer complimentary or discounted tickets to your event.

The goal is simple:
Get the right people into the room so they can experience your business firsthand.

These people are already connected to your industry and likely know people who could become clients.

Make them feel welcome.
Show them what you do well.
Give them a reason to remember you after the event ends.

3. Avoid summer silence.

Just because business slows down does not mean your marketing should disappear.

Coordinate now with your marketing team on what content can continue through the summer.

Think:
  • summer tips
  • team spotlights
  • project highlights
  • client success stories
  • “coming this fall” previews
  • behind-the-scenes moments
  • countdowns to launches or events
Keep the promotion dripping.

Think: “We want to be emotionally present even when clients are on vacation.”
Stay familiar, visible, and connected.

And when people are finally ready to make a decision, your name is already sitting comfortably in their brain like a reserved parking spot.

  3. Book me as a retreat facilitator or speaker. I'm looking at Summer and Fall retreats now. I just booked my third retreat for the Fall. This is the perfect time to reset. Reply to this email and we’ll take it from there.
I’m a teacher at heart, and love helping people get better at what they do.
