Save your button style and stop rebuilding it

Happy Tuesday!

This is the last Tip Tuesday of June, and I want to close out Design That Refines with something that might be the most practical thing I've said all month.
Stop rebuilding your button.
You know the one. The call-to-action button you re-create from scratch every time you start a new graphic, a new sales page, a new one-pager. You pick the shape. You adjust the corners. You choose the fill. You format the text. Every. Single. Time.

Here's what to do instead:

Design it once. Design it right.
→ Choose your shape and corner radius
→ Set your fill color (from your brand palette — always)
→ Style your button text: font, size, weight, color
→ Add a shadow if it suits your brand

That's it. That's the button.

Now save it as a component. In Canva, right click on your newly designed button (or use the shortcut ctrl + alt + K) so it's saved in your Brand Kit the next time you open a design. No decisions. No rebuilding. Just drop it in, update the text, and move on.

This is what I mean when I say efficiency is a design skill. The time you spend rebuilding small elements is time you're not spending on the work that actually matters. Systems like this are what make showing up consistently feel sustainable — not exhausting.

And that's what this whole month has been about: the refinements that quietly make everything better. Thank you for spending time here. See you in July. ☀️

Tip Tuesday takeaway:

Design your button once: shape, corner radius, fill, and text style. Then, save it to your Brand Kit and never rebuild it again. Efficiency is a design skill, and this one pays off every single time.

If you're ready to hand this off entirely with templates built to your brand (buttons and all), I'd love to help.
