Last month, women representing WIR traveled far from their homes to meet and connect with women from around the world. In May, our very own board co-chair, Nancy Hernandez-Rodriguez, along with three WIR-sponsored community leaders traveled to Nepal to attend the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists global meetup, joining land stewards and advocates from around the world. It was a beautiful reminder that WIR’s 2034 vision extends across the globe. At this gathering those shared values were evident across diverse cultures, expressed in many different languages, and tended by hard-working and caring hands. You'll find a full recap below, and over the next few months, we'll continue sharing stories and reflections from this inspiring gathering.
