Hello my little loves, Now that Bedside Manner* is done (Netgalley coming in July!), I'm taking time off and refilling my creative well. I'm reading and watching movies and going outside and listening to podcasts and playing with Demon Baby, and all the things that make me happy. If you want to tell me what refills your creative well, I'd love to hear it!! I'm always looking for ideas. Check out my facebook group, where I put up a post today. *the book is single POV, but did you know that there is a Grant POV chapter only in the paperback of Bedside Manner? Preorder here! You may have seen from my Instagram that I had a birthday!! I turned 38 in Italy with a group of my author friends (we were on a writer's retreat!) and had the best time. Below is me patiently waiting for my wine at a wine window in Florence (like a medieval takeout window for wine!) and eating strawberry sorbetto in Sienna. |

We went truffle hunting with a dog named Celli, drank my favorite type of wine (lambrusco, a chilled fizzy red wine), and ate a ton of pasta. Italy is probably my favorite country I've ever travelled to. The food, the wine, the people, the drinking fountains in every bathroom beside the toilets.* All us authors talked about books and writing all week. I sat next to an author at 5:30am (we were both jet lagged) as she cried while writing her acknowledgements. I avoided a sunburn! We played the game “heads up” and I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. We saw a wild boar. We got a flat tire. The hot gardener, Giorgio, gave Sophia Travers a flower and then apologized profusely after he realized she was married LOL. I practiced my Italian (I'm not great!!). I got to hug so many friends who I only get to voicenote throughout the year. It was a great trip and I can't wait until I see everyone again!! *I'm kidding about the drinking fountains, but I promised Sophia I'd make that joke in my newsletter. |

Friends, if you have redness around your nose/forehead/chin like I do (esp after a week of eating cheese and drinking wine), behold: color corrector. Green cancels out red, and the orangey-yellow tones cancel out dark undereye circles (had ‘em my whole life!!). I’ve used a few and I like the thicker texture of this one. I find that using this means I can wear less makeup overall, which is really nice in the summer!! |

New Vancouver Storm merch is here!! Literature Stitches has made some gorgeous crewnecks with embroidery for each of the guys!! Ami sent me the Gloves Off one because I love the flowers so much. The sweater is so soft and the embroidery is super nice quality. |

I know so many of you loved Sophia's last book, The Heir, and you can NOT miss out on Tristan's book!! He's rakish and charming, my favorite type of MMC, and Sophia hit it out of the park with the friends-to-lovers and relationship coach tropes!! |
|
He’s the country’s most eligible bachelor. She’s the bodyguard he’s secretly teaching how to date…and the best friend he wants for himself. Tristan Prince is trouble. He’s charming, rich, and too handsome for his own good. I’m the bodyguard in the background, and the best friend who spent the last three years swearing she’d never let her feelings for Tristan grow. He might be looking for a wife, but I’m the last woman he’d ever marry. My plan? Learn to date, and get over my best friend. Until Tristan offers to teach me himself. Coaching becomes practice. Practice flames into jealousy. I don’t belong in Tristan’s world… And Tristan? He belongs to someone else. |

“Alexa Martin has crafted a cowboy romance keeper!”—Lyla Sage, #1 New York Times bestselling author
A cowboy romance enthusiast discovers that everything’s bigger in Texas—even love—in this swoony novel from beloved author Alexa Martin.
Fueled by a love of romance novels, Luna Starr was destined for a life with her head in the clouds. Her delusional tendencies serve her well…or at least they used to. When life throws her a curveball, she decides it’s time to turn her cowboy fantasies into reality and purchases a tiny farm in Celestial, Texas. After all, don’t all heroines try to outrun grief?
Tate Jacobs hates cowboys, which is a small problem, considering his family happens to own the largest ranch in Celestial. Life might not have gone the way he wanted, but as head coach at his old high school and the town’s best (and only) handyman, he’s figured out how to stay busy and keep his head down—until the new girl in town shows up. Luna’s new property is a bad accident waiting to happen unless someone helps her with her DIY home renovations.
As Tate and Luna spend more time together fixing up her house, unexpected feelings and undeniable chemistry bubble to the surface. Luna might’ve moved to Celestial to make her cowboy dreams come true, but somewhere beneath the vast Texas skies, she discovers that love in the real world can be far better than she imagined. |
