Titan Nation,

 

This week we had the most anticipated moment of the school year for our graduating class – commencement! While this week is bittersweet as we say goodbye to another group of Titans, we are proud to see them enter the world as mature men and women cemented in virtue. We are eager to see what they will accomplish as they continue striving for truth, goodness, and beauty. At the same time, it is difficult to see so many scholars, many of whom have been with us since the 2nd grade leave our campus. 

 

This week, we surprised our graduating class with a special luncheon where they gathered together at our school for the first time as alumni. We also had our annual donor appreciation event, several of our tennis scholar-athletes were recognized for their athletic achievements and hosted the first-ever Arete Junior Thesis Presentation.

2026 Commencement Graduation

This week, the Class of 2026 officially graduated from high school!

 

The Class of 2026 will always be remembered for their unity and love. Throughout the years, and up until their very last day as Titans, their overwhelming display of friendship and love was evident to everyone. In fact, during their final morning assembly, our scholars began singing the alma mater, and in their final moments as high school students, they gathered in the center of the Titan Gym, embraced one another, and counted down the seconds until the final dismissal bell. Their commencement ceremony reflected that same spirit of love and respect. Together, they celebrated each other’s accomplishments, laughed as they remembered their most cherished moments as Titans, and shed tears of both joy and sadness as they closed this chapter of their lives.

 

Titans, although you are leaving the halls of True North, this will always be your home. You are a Titan, and once a Titan, always a Titan.

Senior Surprise

On Wednesday, the Class of 2026 returned to campus as True North alumni.

 

The alumni arrived on campus under the impression that they were simply returning their caps and gowns, but instead were surprised with a special luncheon. This marked the first official time our scholars returned to campus and gathered as Titan alumni. Together, they received their first official Titan Alumni merchandise, signed yearbooks, enjoyed Italian food for lunch, and shared some of their favorite memories from their recent commencement ceremony.

Junior Thesis Presentation

This week, our 11th-grade scholars wrestled with life’s greatest questions as they defended their junior thesis presentations. Their presentations strived to answer life-long questions like, What does it mean to live a good life? Should we fear death and suffering? What role do education and virtue play in all of this? The presentations concluded with a Q&A session, where our scholars had an opportunity to defend their thesis.

 

This was the first Arete event of its kind hosted by our junior class. The event was so impactful that our school leadership has decided to make it an annual tradition. This will not only help our students prepare for the senior thesis, which will be due next year, but also allow them to engage in deep conversations. 

 

Congratulations, scholars! If this is any indication of the work you will produce next year with your senior thesis, the bar is extremely high.

Leadership Giving Society Members

The True North Classical Foundation hosted a thank-you reception for all donors who reached the Leadership Giving Society level. 

 

The reception took place at the Sunset Campus Gym and served as a small token of gratitude for donors' support during the 2025-2026 school year. During the reception, guests had the opportunity to hear from our CEO and Founder, Mr. Michael Bileca, and the Executive Director of the True North Classical Foundation, Vivian Bileca. They also received a sneak peek into our True North Classical Academy Gateway expansion, viewed artwork created by our scholars, and enjoyed meaningful conversation over charcuterie with their fellow Leadership Giving Society members.

 

The True North Foundation was launched as a private, nonprofit organization to support and serve the needs of True North. It exists to raise financial support for key initiatives, such as working with national donors who seek to strengthen True North for the benefit of students and teachers, growing the True North network to serve more families and communities, and advancing the cause of a classical education rooted in the cultivation of virtue and wisdom.

 

Titan Tennis

Three of our our Titan Tennis players were recognized for their incredible athletic skills. 

 

Specifically, Caleb Chow, has been selected as the Miami-Dade Tennis Player of the Year. Caleb is one of the highest-rated players in the State of Florida, went undefeated in singles until the State Finals, and led our Titans to back-to-back Class 1A State Finals appearances. Although he is graduating this year, he will continue his tennis journey at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

 

Additionally, Caleb Chow and Dan Horwitz were named to the All-Dade Boys’ Tennis First Team Singles, while Luciana Chica earned All-Dade Girls’ Tennis First Team Singles honors. This accolades cements our scholar athletes as some of the best in their sport in Miami-Dade County.
