The 77th year of ministry is going strong for Summer 2026! Numbers in Scripture often carry meaning. The number seven is associated with wholeness and completion, recalling the seven days of creation. When Jesus tells his disciples not to forgive seven times, but seventy-seven times, he points to a grace that exceeds expectations, a mercy that continues again and again.
 
As we celebrate 77 years of ministry, we stand in awe of God's faithfulness. For generations, young people and families have encountered Christ, discovered community, and experienced the wonder of creation at Camp Onomia. God's goodness has come full circle time and time again through this sacred place.
 
This year, we are honoring our roots while looking toward the future. We are deepening our commitment to our mission, strengthening our community, and dreaming boldly as we prepare for our 100th year of ministry.
 
No matter how long it has been, you are always welcome to come back home to Onomia. Whether you join us in person or connect from afar, we invite you to be part of this story of faith, grace, and belonging that continues to unfold.

A NEW WAY TO SUPPORT THE SUMMER MINISTRY OF CAMP ONOMIA!
Walking in Love This Summer
This summer, we’re walking with purpose.
​
From June 14 to August 7, we’re inviting our camp community—campers, families, alumni, and friends—to take part in a Walk-A-Thon supporting the transforming power of summer camp!
​
Together, we’ll walk 55 miles over 55 days of summer camp, raising funds to ensure more campers can experience belonging, growth, and transformation in the outdoors.

You can still participate through Zeffy after! ​
Walk-A-Thon: June 14 – August 7
 
Over $1,000 has already been raised! Join our 20 walkers to help create more transformative experiences for campers this summer. 
 
A note on Zeffy: Zeffy offers fundraising for nonprofits with no processing fees. Instead, donors have the option to support Zeffy by contributing to help cover those costs. At checkout, Zeffy will suggest a percentage to add, but you can also select “Other” to give $0 or any amount you choose.

We are looking for 2–3 volunteers who would be willing to help mow the lawn during the month of June while we wait for our maintenance assistant to begin later this month.
 
The schedule is flexible—you can choose the days and times that work best for you. If you're here during a meal, we'd be happy to have you join us for food and fellowship!

Exciting news from Thrivent about their Choice Dollars program!
 
Now ALL eligible Thrivent members receive Choice Dollars that can be directed to Camp Onomia, yay!
 
Another great update: instead of Choice Dollars accruing throughout the year, your full amount is now available right away. That means you can log in today and direct your Choice Dollars to Camp Onomia just in time to support our summer camp season. Your support makes a real difference for campers and families!
 
One more important change:
Choice Dollars now expire on December 31 (previously March 31), so be sure to direct your dollars before the end of the year.

Thrivent Choice Dollars & Thrivent Action Grants allow Camp Onomia to upgrade facilities, add new program elements, and offer volunteer opportunities.
