On the International Day for Biological Diversity, the co-created Biodiversity & Food Systems Shared Messages were launched: Changing Mindsets, Unlocking Opportunities and Altering the Power Web. More than just messages, they are a practical resource to spark conversations, challenge silos, strengthen advocacy, and inspire action across food systems and biodiversity agendas. In our new six-part interview series on NFP Connects, we explore how Dutch expertise and CGIAR’s global research come together through the NWO-funded Senior Expert Programme in the NL-CGIAR research programme.

The first three stories take us from genebanks safeguarding crop diversity for future harvests, to women-led shellfish fisheries in the Pacific that were long overlooked, and rice fields in the Philippines where light is helping detect disease before damage becomes visible.

Together, they show what long-term, embedded partnership looks like in practice: not abstract, not distant, but vital.

After nine years and more than 120 stories, Resilience Food Stories is launching the major exhibition Good Food at the Nederlands Fotomuseum, alongside a new book and website. The exhibition highlights the people and initiatives shaping the future of food and agriculture, and we are honoured to support this impactful work. On Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, the SeedNL Annual Event returns to KAS in Woerden for a full day of exchange, inspiration and networking under the theme “Seeds of Collaboration”. Bringing together stakeholders from across the Dutch Diamond and beyond, the event will explore how partnerships continue to strengthen resilient and inclusive seed systems around the world. The programme will also feature a dual keynote and fireside chat with Michael Keller, Secretary General of the International Seed Federation, and Chris Ojiewo of CGIAR.
