If you've been around youth sports for any length of time, you've probably sold your fair share of popcorn, discount cards, raffle tickets, cookie dough, & just about everything in between.
Fundraisers definitely have their place, but I'm also a big believer in sponsorships. Every sponsorship dollar raised is one less dollar that has to come out of a family's pocket, and that's something I can get behind.
The key is making sure there's something in it for the businesses, too. The best sponsorships aren't just about asking for money. They're partnerships that help businesses connect with families while supporting a team, school, or organization.
If sponsorships are on your radar this season, I've rounded up a few resources that can help, including blog posts, a free webinar I recently co-hosted with
SponsorPlace by
Campus Multimedia, and my free list of 100 businesses to approach first.
