Hello First name / friend, You don't hear from me directly all that often, so I wanted to share some of the ways Dirty Janes is being promoted out in the wider world. Press PLAY on my photo above and I'll tell you all about it! Here's what's happening across all three stores. Canberra - Digital billboard, Newcastle Street. We've taken this space for the next twelve months, running a rotation of campaigns so visitors to Fyshwick don't miss us.

- Google ads & listing. A search for "what's on in Canberra" tends to surface events, and we wanted Dirty Janes to show up there as a place to visit too. We've updated our Google listing and placed ads to improve how we appear in these searches. It's been live for about three months. It's hard to measure directly, though in-store footfall is up, which tells us it's working. We'll be rolling the same approach out across Orange and Bowral.
- Postcard flyers. Our flyers are now displayed across Canberra — from the Visit Canberra centre and the Arboretum out to Yass. [See the list of locations HERE]
Orange - New roadside sign, Lucknow. A new sign is being installed at Lucknow (about ten minutes from Orange) to keep us front of mind for visitors. It'll be up within the next few weeks.
- Waste to Art sponsorship. We sponsored this local exhibition at Orange City Library, where artists create works around a waste reduction message. On display until Friday 5 June.
Bowral - Better Homes and Gardens. A visit from Dr Harry and Heffner the alpaca (a fan of Dirty Janes). A lovely segment with footage of the store and a chat with Louise and Bonnie at the front counter. The button below will take you there. Free sign-up required; our feature begins at 9 min 14 sec.

- Shirley Valentine. We were proud to sponsor the Highlands Theatre Group's recent production with a back-cover placement in the program. See the ad HERE
- Era magazine. You may have seen Era on our front counters over the past few months, a wonderful read covering all kinds of vintage interests. We supported the last edition with an ad. The upcoming fourth issue features a multi-page article by Jane, with great pics by Drew plus an ad from us on the back cover. Well worth grabbing a copy.
A few numbers - Combined social following across the three stores: over 81K
- Content views in the past 30 days: over 458K
Social media keeps shifting. These days people don't need to follow us to see what we put out, so that monthly reach is a sizeable audience. Our in-store team do a wonderful job of keeping these accounts both beautiful and engaging - they play an important role in inspiring people to visit the stores. Thanks for everything you do First name / friend - you make Dirty Janes the most magical place.
Your greatest fan, |
