This summer, we are welcoming in THREE new staff members: Victoria, Emerson, and Kristin! They are all wonderful - we can't wait for you to meet them. We also have three awesome high-schoolers continuing to work at Thrift 2 Fight through the Red Hook Community Center Youth Employment Program: Esmeralda, Jack, and TT. Big team! We are so lucky to have such energetic, stylish, smart and kind people working with us here at T2F.
Meanwhile, Bambii is starting a new job teaching little kids Spanish, and we wish them all the best! We will miss them. Here is their parting message: “If you have Underground Soul jeans, please donate them for Bambii! I'll be around.” 😋

In May, we raised $2,000 for an incredible local immigrant justice organization, Ulster Rapid Response.
In June, we will be raising funds for the following:
Red Hook Youth Pride ($250)
A gofundme for a trans woman coming home after 20 years in prison (donate here)
Additional mutual aid for trans people in the Hudson Valley via Transmission.

Red Hook Youth Pride, June 7th 11-2:Line up for the parade at 11am at the Linden Avenue Middle School. Festivities start at 12pm at the Red Hook Village Hall Municipal lot. Follow @rhyouthpride to learn more, and email them at rhyouthpride@gmail.com to get involved as a sponsor or volunteer, or if you would like to table at the event!
Thrift 2 Fight Volunteer Day Wednesday 6/17 1-4pm: It's always so fun! Join us this month to help Thrift 2 Fight curate a collection for the Future Sounds of Nature pop-up (more on that below)! All volunteers get pizza/snacks, and 40% off store-wide, plus first dibs on all the clothes in the back room. RSVP hereso we know you're coming!

There are many ways you can engage with Thrift 2 Fight! Shop with us, donate clothes, learn about local activist efforts, and support them in any way you can. With most of our items priced under $20, we rely on the volume of sales to fundraise for our community partners and cover our expenses. Your support makes a huge difference.
