🌞 A Summer of Possibility
This month, our team brought laughter and learning to the Texas Colonias.

About 30 children, ages 4 to 12, gathered for a week of summer classes led by our team and our partners at House of Love & Justice. Together, they learned about healthy habits, caring for their bodies, and how to make change in their own communities.

On the final day, they celebrated with an outdoor picnic while families received fresh produce, rice, beans, and hygiene kits to take home.

For many families, summer brings disruption. School is out, routines change, and access to meals, activities, and safe places becomes even more limited.

That's why programs like this matter.

They're about more than filling a week on the calendar. They're about creating spaces where children can learn, build confidence, make friends, and simply enjoy being kids.

None of this happens alone. It happens because of local partnerships, dedicated volunteers, generous supporters, and communities working together.

🌎 More From Our Team
While summer camp was underway in the Colonias, our teams were busy building that same foundation of safety and opportunity around the world.

In Reynosa, our team continued work on a solar microgrid that will soon provide reliable electricity for Escuelita La Cruz.

In Tapachula, safe water was delivered to shelters, and hygiene kits were assembled for families navigating displacement.

In Jordan, women gathered for reusable menstrual pad workshops, while planning moved forward on bathroom renovations that will create safer, more dignified spaces.

In Ukraine, children participated in STEM activities and reading sessions, while maintenance crews maintained water systems and prepared for a new solar installation at Phoenix House.

💜 Why This Matters
Different countries. Different challenges. One shared focus: building the conditions for people to live with safety and dignity.

Whether it’s a summer camp, a classroom powered by solar energy, a reliable water system, or a renovated bathroom, every project helps create those conditions.

That’s what humanitarian engineering looks like.

It isn’t just responding to emergencies. It’s working alongside communities to build the infrastructure and opportunities that allow people to recover, grow, and thrive long after a crisis has passed.

Thank you for being part of this work. Not just in moments of urgency, but in the long, steady work of building what comes after.

With gratitude,
The Solidarity Engineering Team
