Hey wild one, Life has been heavy lately, but June has a way of loosening the grip of things. A few slow afternoons with a sink full of berries staining my fingers, peach sweet tea simmering on the stove, jars lining the counter catching the late evening light… and suddenly I feel a little more like myself again. This season always reminds me that abundance rarely arrives quietly. It spills over. Grows wild. Demands to be gathered before it disappears. Right now, the kitchen smells like strawberries, herbs, and sugar. Everything feels alive again… including the parts of me I thought winter had worn down for good. So this month, I’m leaning into it. More preserving. More cooking from scratch. More long evenings outside. More slowing down and noticing. And if you’re finding your way back to yourself too, maybe this is your reminder that healing doesn’t always look profound. Sometimes it looks like sticky countertops, overgrown herbs, and tea steeping while the sun goes down. |

The days stretch long past dinner now, the evenings thick with humidity and the sound of things growing somewhere just beyond the tree line. Fireflies blink awake in the tall grass. The garden spills over itself. Herbs bolt if you look away too long. This is the season of abundance, but also of impermanence. Strawberries ripen all at once. The roses bloom hard and fast. Everything asks to be gathered before it disappears again. There’s something deeply human about that. About standing barefoot in the kitchen after sunset, sticky from fruit juice and summer heat, listening to thunder roll somewhere in the distance while jars cool on the counter. This time of year always reminds me: not everything beautiful is meant to last forever untouched. Some things are meant to be picked at peak ripeness. Cooked down. Preserved. Loved while they’re here. So maybe that’s the invitation for June: lean into the sweetness while it exists. Stay outside a little longer. Watch the fireflies. Let yourself become fully alive again. |

ᚱThis Week’s Playlist: Honey + Thunder A little Paris Paloma, Florence + The Machine, Hozier, Sleep Token, A Perfect Circle, and songs that sound like humid summer nights, devotion, feminine rage, and thunderstorms building in the distance. ᚨWhat I'm Reading: I just finished Slewfoot by Brom and honestly? I think every woman should read it at least once. Beneath the folklore and horror, it’s really a story about what happens to women when they don’t fit neatly into the roles society hands them. The fear, suspicion, persecution, control… all wrapped in this dark, atmospheric colonial setting that feels unsettling because it’s believable. I absolutely loved it and I think you will, too. |

Got something to say? Hit reply. Rant, rave, throw in your two cents… or just yell into the void. I don’t need fake politeness, just real thoughts from real people. |

Keep the wild going. Tag me when you’re putting up jars, making magic in your kitchen, or dancing with the seasons like you mean it. This isn’t curated perfection… it’s real, raw, and rooted. Show me what you’re making of it. #RootedAndWild |
