Coming to you on a Monday after an absolutely epic weekend in Charleston (Johns Island) for the wedding of a close family friend whose sons grew up with ours, and all three of my guys had the honor of being groomsmen.
If you follow me on
Instagram, you got a full photo dump from the weekend—and maybe caught my debrief today. Suffice it to say, it was one of those weekends we’ll be talking about for years. We had the entire family together, two wonderful girlfriends in the mix, dear old friends, and the chance to celebrate the marriage of a couple who are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.
From the Welcome Party to the church ceremony to the reception and after-party, it was pure joy in action.
Today we’re all feeling a little exhausted, a bit emotional, and definitely the letdown that comes after a really special event comes to an end. We’re also thinking about Mary, who would have turned 101 today. I definitely think she was looking down on all of us with a big smile—and maybe even had something to do with the gorgeous weather we enjoyed despite what the radar kept predicting.
Thanks, Mary. ❤️
Now for a quick Weekend Update before I go take a nap 😉
