Strengthening Aspire's Next Chapter – Meet Aspire's New Director of Development |
As Aspire continues to expand educational opportunities for adults across North Texas, we are excited to welcome Angela Bardis as our new Director of Development. Angela brings more than a decade of experience in fundraising and relationship management, with a proven track record of connecting donors and community partners to meaningful causes. Her background includes leadership roles with both the American Cancer Society and Southern Methodist University, where she helped build strong relationships and advance mission-driven work. In her new role, Angela will help strengthen the partnerships and philanthropic support that make Aspire's programs possible. As demand for adult literacy, ESL, GED, and workforce training services continues to grow, her leadership will play an important role in helping Aspire reach more students and create even greater impact throughout our community. As Angela begins her journey with Aspire, we invite our community partners and supporters to join us in warmly welcoming and congratulating her. Please feel free to connect with her at angela@aspiretolearn.org as she becomes part of the Aspire team. |

Aspire Needs YOU! Volunteers Wanted to Make an Impact |
Every day at Aspire, volunteers help create opportunities that change lives. They sit beside adults learning to read for the first time. They encourage students preparing for the GED after years away from school. They help English learners build confidence to communicate with employers, teachers, doctors, and neighbors. If you want to make a meaningful difference in your community, Aspire needs you. Whether you can volunteer in person or online, a couple of hours a week can help a student take the next step toward their goals. |
Many of our students balance work, family responsibilities, transportation challenges, and busy schedules while pursuing their education. Despite these obstacles, they show up determined to build a better future for themselves and their families. That is where volunteers make a lasting impact. By offering encouragement, guidance, and consistent support, volunteers help students stay motivated and gain confidence in their abilities. Sometimes, the most powerful thing a volunteer can do is remind a student that they are capable of succeeding. Aspire provides all the training, curriculum, and support volunteers need to get started. If you are ready to help transform lives through education, we would love to welcome you to our volunteer team. |
