Collaborative Aotearoa 10-Minute Model of Care Pulse Check Survey
The 10‑Minute Collaborative Aotearoa Model of Care Pulse Check Survey is still open. We encourage all practices to take part.
The survey takes one response per practice. It helps build a clear view of how care models are working and changing. It covers proactive care, acute activity, workforce models, and overall maturity. No patient or staff data is collected.
A Q&A sheet is available to support completion and explain the purpose.
Why this matters Your input helps Collaborative Aotearoa to:
  • Track changes across general practice
  • Develop practical tools and resources
  • Strengthen advocacy for the sector
Thank you for supporting a shared, evidence-based view of care delivery in Aotearoa.

COVID vaccination claiming changes
From 1 July, COVID vaccination administration claiming for GP practice providers will be paid under the PHO services agreement. COVID administration payments will continue to be made via AIR.
That means in order to submit claims, from 1 July practices will need to update the agreement number they use to record vaccinations to the relevant PHO services agreement number.

Foundation Standard review
Reminder for specialist GPs and general practice teams to have their say in the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners review of the Foundation Standard.
Feedback can be submitted through a short survey here, closing at 5.00pm on Friday 19 June.

New harm (adverse) event submission process goes live 1 July 2026
The Health Quality & Safety Commission Te Tāhū Hauora and RNZCGP encourage primary care to report SAC 1 and 2 harm events from 1 July 2026. This focuses on healing, restoring trust, and system learning and improvement.
RNZCGP Foundation Standard 13.3 (Adverse event reporting) requires practices to follow the national Healing, learning and improving from harm policy 2023. Access resources here.
Two webinars with RNZCGP will support this:
• 1 July, 12:30 to 1:30pm - register here
• 2 July, 6:00 to 7:00pm - register here
Content is the same for both sessions. Topics include the policy, Standard 13.3, and how to use the harm event submission portal.
Further information on portal registration will follow after 1 July 2026.
