On Wednesday night, hundreds of people gathered virtually for Jeffery Lee. They watched The Jeffery Lee Story, heard Alabama Senator Robert Stewart speak about judicial override, and asked the legal team hard questions. Senator Stewart, who represents Dallas County, the same community Jeffery Lee is from, said it simply: "Jeffrey Lee and I are both sons of the same soil, the Black Belt soil in Dallas County. For me, it's personal."

Call Governor Ivey. Tell her the jury said life. In March, her office said she had no plans to grant clemency for Sonny Burton on a Friday. She commuted his sentence the following Tuesday. Public pressure works. We have seen it happen in Alabama. We need it to happen again.
