21 EVERY DAYS

IT'S A WRAP!

You did it! Congrats on finishing day 21 and your project! I hope you've enjoyed this process of visually documenting the past 3 weeks of your life and transforming a blank piece of paper into a beautiful, special, and personal piece of art. (If you are still working on your project, that's OK--keep going!)

Thank you for joining me on this journey! It's amazing and very special to me that this project resonated with you. 99% of the time when I'm creating, I'm alone at my desk. Although we may have been working on this in different cities and individually, I still feel like I got to do this together with a community of creatives! It's incredibly inspiring to see what you make and how you interpret both the prompts and your materials! Thank you for also keeping me accountable! It's easy to fall behind but doing this project with you definitely helped to keep me motivated and on track!

Here are a few final things I wanted to share as we wrap this up and look at what's next.

SHARE YOUR FINISHED PROJECTS

I'd love to celebrate what you've created and share your finished projects in an Instagram post as well as via email. If you'd like to be featured, please:
  • Email me a photo of your completed projected (reply to this email or send to hi.atiliay@gmail.com)
  • Include your first name
  • Include your Instagram handle if you have one/if you'd like
Please submit your photos by Saturday, June 13th!
I'm planning on posting/emailing on Monday, June 14th.

WHAT'S NEXT?

FOR YOUR CREATIVE PRACTICE Take a look at your sections and see if there's anything you want to expand on--a prompt or idea, a technique or material you liked, or something that came up that you wanted to try but didn't get a chance to do. Or maybe there was a process you had a lot of fun with! Now is a great time to do this and to work on a bigger piece of paper since our sections were on the smaller side :)

SEASON 2 OF 21 EVERY DAYS This year I'm planning on doing this project 3 more times to capture every season of the year. I love the idea of repeating this process at different points in our lives and seeing how it can inspire our creativity, what our projects look like, how we've changed and how we've stayed the same.

If you'd like to join me for the next project, it'll start July 12th for summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere. You can sign up now to receive emails for Season 2 (just click the button below and you'll be all set) or decide later and sign up then.

If you don't sign up now, that just means you will need to sign up again to receive prompt emails if you decide to join in on the project. And if not, that's totally fine too! If you're on my email list for Atiliay Notes, I will be sending out reminders in late June./early July.

WHAT'S YOUR PROMPT PREFERENCE?

As I mentioned above, I really like the idea of repeating this process for every season and seeing the different things we capture and create.

Originally, I was thinking of repeating the same prompts for each season so that at the end of the year, all the first sections would be “I Spy” / things we spotted for each season, and the second section would be “Melody” / what we are listening to each season, and so on. But I'd love to hear your feedback--for those of you interested in joining me for future projects, please vote on your preference for the prompts by clicking one of the buttons below. (Check-in emails will always include something different.)

Don't forget to check out our group Flickr photo gallery and upload photos there! If you are on Instagram and want to connect with others, please include your handle in the comments of your photo so folks can find you!

If you'd like to stay in touch, you can do so via my newsletter, Atiliay Notes, and on social media (links at the bottom of this email.)

Thank you again! I hope to create with you again soon :)
Until then, take good care!

PS: Have fun peeling off the tape! It's always a little bittersweet for me but also exciting to see the final reveal! I'll be doing mine later today!
