Issue #66 | June 8, 2026

Welcome back to Beyond the Tour, where twice a month you’ll get clear, practical enrollment strategies you can put to work this week.

Let's get started.

If You Do One Thing This Week:

1. 🛜 Give Love to Your Tuition Page.

Your tuition page is likely the most visited page on your website.

Things you can do to make use of that high-value real estate:
  1. Be sure to have a testimonial on that page. Parents are there anyway, literally searching the value of your school. Tell them what you want them to hear.
  2. If you've had a testimonial there, freshen it up with a new one for this year.
  3. Post a photo of a happy, beautiful child smiling. At school.
  4. Don't let this page sit as a PDF on your website. PDFs are harder for search engines to find, and we want to make it as easy as possible for parents to learn more about your school.
Try it. Let me know how it goes.

PS - If you are at a school that does not post their tuition online, let's talk. There are very, very, very few cases where this is a good idea. I'm happy to talk to your Head of School or Board about why. Be in touch with me if you need talking points, or if you want to send me in to the firing squad. I'm ready.

2 Tips to DO MORE:

2. 🗣️ Use consistent language (Hint: Use your value proposition)

This summer, get clear on the specific, key words you are going to use in communications.
Yes, I mean the actual words you want repeated over,
and over,
and over,
and over,
and over,
and over again.

Share these words with: Admission, Development, Educational leadership, Maintenance, Safey + security, Athletics, School nurse, etc.

Everyone using the same language will reinforce the persona of your school to families on the outside, and you'll be amazed how it trickles down to the student experience on the inside.

Trust me, it's a good thing.

3. 📋 Get Organized on Events.

Create an event plan for each program you have this year.
Future you will thank you for mapping out all of the details before the school year starts.

Here's how you get started:
  1. Set a meeting with the right people on your team - or yourself - to spend a chunk of time doing this over this summer.
  2. Working backward, map out the To Dos from months out all the way to the day of the event.
Here's a template worksheet to map things out.
This is the tool that I used every summer to get organized for the school year.  Make a copy and use it with your team.

We got this.
