Stefanija Pejchinovska does not begin with new materials. She begins with what already exists. A worn garment, a forgotten textile, something with a previous life that is not quite finished living. In her Berlin studio, under the name Damaja, she works it back into something worth keeping.
Her medium is embroidery. Her practice is sustainability, not as a brand position but as a daily decision about what to touch, what to use, and what to leave alone. Natural fibers only. Slow pace by design. The inspiration arrives from wherever it arrives: a plant on the windowsill, a person on the street, the specific olive green she returns to like a resting note.
